Multiverse Places is a revolutionary 3D virtual world that brings together the best of massively multiplayer online games and social networking sites. The beta release of Multiverse Places enables you to socialize in a visually-stunning Times Square environment through customizable avatars and integrated voice chat. In addition, you can customize your own apartment with images, music, and videos. Like social networking sites, you can learn about a person's real-world interests and tastes by visiting their place (their apartment). In addition, you can also interact in real-time together.
Future releases of Multiverse Places will offer deep gameplay, additional themed zones, improved avatar interaction, and improved avatar and place customization.
Check out the Multiverse Places website. Login with your Multiverse Network username and password, and create a profile, find friends and view their profiles, view upcoming events, and so on.
Places: The Facebook Application
Within Facebook, the Multiverse Places application lets you begin to experiment with various elements common to 3D virtual worlds. Once installed, Places lets you create and customize your own avatar and send animated postcards to your friends.

Places is an immersive, persistent, and vibrant 3D world. Currently in beta, Places lets you create and customize an avatar, design a personal room—in which you can listen to music, watch movies, and socialize with your friends—and meet new people within visually stunning public spaces, such as New York's Times Square.
Once you download and install Multiverse Places, all of your Places friends on Facebook automatically become your friends in-world.

Places: Developer Opportunities
Multiverse Places provides entrepreneurial development teams with the opportunity to create unique instances/zones for consumers.
Under our model, developers can create rooms, zones, or instances using our free development solution, the Multiverse Platform, all linked together through Multiverse Places.
Such instances/zones can be "teasers" for larger, separate virtual world experiences or destinations themselves.
