MANAGEMENT
The Multiverse Network, Inc. was established in
July 2004 by
a team of Netscape veterans with proven track records in the high-tech
and
entertainment industries. The Multiverse team has substantial
experience
building world-class web infrastructure, search engines, Internet
security
systems, portals, games, graphics applications, web servers, and
database
systems at leading companies, such as Netscape, Excite, AOL, Zone Labs,
Netflix, Borland, Silicon Graphics, Electronic Arts, and IBM.
Bill Turpin
Co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
Over the course of Bill's 25 years in the
commercial
software business, he has identified and led the market in significant
technology shifts, including both Windows and the Internet.
He built world-class technology platforms his entire career,
at respected companies like Netscape and Borland.
In 1994, Bill co-founded a startup to create development tools
for the Internet. In a period when almost all of the Web was static
pages, his company pioneered the use of dynamically created web pages
using a scripting language, database queries, and a WYSIWYG HTML
editor. Bill's company was acquired by Netscape Communications in early
1995. His company's scripting language went on to become JavaScript,
and its HTML editor became the web-page creator built
into Navigator and now known as Composer. Bill went on to became
VP of Development for Netscape's entire line of server products. Later,
Bill became vice president of development and operations for Netscape's growing
portal business at netscape.com.
He led the development of many innovative new services
for one of the busiest Internet sites at the time.
In 1988, Bill founded a startup to create development tools for
Windows. In a period of text-based DOS applications, his company
developed one of the first graphical database applications. Borland
International acquired Bill's product in 1990 and released it as its
first ever Windows product, named ObjectVision. Later, Bill became
vice president
of engineering for the dBASE product line and the Borland Database
Engine.
At the beginning of his career, Bill spent ten years at
Texas Instruments. During this time, he was general manager of an
Artificial
Intelligence software business and system engineer for new computer
systems,
including the world's first LCD-based laptop PC.
In addition to these opportunities, Bill has served in a
variety of roles from "entrepreneur in residence" with Redpoint
Ventures and CEO of a venture-funded company.
Corey Bridges
Co-founder, Executive Producer and Marketing Director
As Executive Producer and Marketing Director, Corey oversees business development
and developer relations with thousands game development teams, ranging from garage
developers to Fortune 100 companies to Hollywood legends. Under his guidance,
Multiverse has won multiple awards, including the "Red Herring 100" award for
playing a leading role in innovating the technology business.
Corey brings marketing experience from some of the most influential companies in
the high-tech and entertainment industries, including Netflix, Netscape, Zone Labs,
Borland and The Discovery Channel. He specializes in market creation and growth for
new categories of products. Over the years, he has also built and launched a number
of world-class technology platforms.
Corey created the original launch plan for the popular security program ZoneAlarm,
whose Internet-only distribution strategy captured 35 million users worldwide.
In 2003, he was invited to contribute to a U.S. Homeland Security task force on
Cyber Security. As a member of the original launch team for Netflix, Corey pioneered
a new methodology of Internet-based marketing that identified, secured and
grew the initial market of customers critical to the survival and success of
the now-public company. A pre-IPO employee at Netscape, Corey worked as product
manager for the company's flagship Internet browser.
Corey also has written and directed a number of short films, and produced
commercials and TV specials. An award-winning writer, he has also collaborated
with well-known technology expert John Dvorak on multiple books. He has spoken
internationally about the future of virtual worlds. He is a graduate of the
University of California at Berkeley.
Rafhael Cedeno

building the
fundamental technologies that make new large-scale applications
possible. At
companies like Excite and Netscape, he built technologies that defied
convention and enabled entirely new business models. His proven ability
to

innovative new
companies.
Prior to Multiverse, Rafhael was director of
engineering at
Kontiki, a peer-to-peer communications platform for enterprise networks.
He was responsible for the overall server
product releases and large deployments at Fortune 500 companies, such
as Ernst
& Young and GameSpot.

at
Themestream, an Internet services company funded by Redpoint Ventures
and
Kleiner Perkins. Rafhael was overall

which acquired his previous employer, The McKinley Group. While at
Excite/McKinley Group, Rafhael co-designed and worked on their web
crawler and
search engine.
Robin McCollum
Co-founder and Principal Engineer, Client Technology
Robin has worked as an architect and systems-level
programmer solving complex technical problems for industry leaders. He
has
built the technology at the heart of some of the most heavily
trafficked sites
on the Internet.
Prior to Multiverse, Robin was a lead engineer at
Kontiki.
As an early hire, he created the security libraries and server
infrastructure
for the Kontiki platform. He also
worked on the low-level networking libraries for the peer-to-peer
content
distribution system.
Before Kontiki, Robin was co-founder and principal
engineer
at Themestream. He developed the application server, search system, and
content
management system for user-submitted content.
This system supported self-publishing, classification, and
distribution
of content from over 40,000 contributors.
Before co-founding Themestream, Robin was senior
engineer at
Netscape Communications. Along with
Rafhael, Robin created the dynamic page generation engine that served
as the
backbone for the Netcenter portal. After AOL acquired Netscape, this
infrastructure was also used to power aol.com and compuserve.com.
Before Netscape, Robin worked at Tenon
Intersystems where he
created the Code Builder product for the Macintosh computer.
